Guardians of the Greenwood

Guardians of the Greenwood is a conservation and environmentally based adventure which, although set in a fantasy world, highlights many of the environmental threats that are encountered today: air and water pollution, destruction of habitats, soil erosion, blots on the landscape, the lowering of water tables, deforestation and climate change. The blend of pathos and humour plus the appealing nature of the program will fire children's imaginations.

Guardians of the Greenwood supports the Geography National Curriculum as a main topic starting point. The software can be used as a resource for the breadth of study concerning environmental issues. Guardians of the Greenwood supports children working towards Level 4 attainment target in KS2 and towards higher levels of attainment in KS3. Hawk Enterprises is threatening the Greenwood and its inhabitants. Crinkle, the heroine of the story, sets out to save the forest from destruction. With the assistance of the forest folk and a little bit of magic she is able to save the environment.
